Argus A4 Dovetail NVG Mount
The Argus A4 Dovetail NVG Mount is a lightweight, adjustable helmet mount designed to provide a secure interface between compatible dovetail-equipped night vision systems and standard NVG helmet shrouds.
With adjustable height, tilt, and positioning along with a selectable breakaway function, the A4 provides the core functionality needed to properly position night vision in front of the user's eyes while maintaining a compact helmet-mounted configuration.
The combination of aluminum and polymer construction helps keep weight down while providing a practical mounting solution for PVS-14s, binocular night vision systems, and other compatible dovetail-equipped devices.

Dovetail Night Vision Interface
The A4 uses a dovetail interface for attaching compatible night vision devices and adapters.
Dovetail mounting is widely used across modern night vision systems, allowing the A4 to support a variety of compatible monocular and binocular configurations.
For a PVS-14, a compatible dovetail J-arm or adapter is required between the monocular and the mount.
Adjustable Height & Tilt
Proper NVG positioning is critical for maintaining comfortable eye alignment and getting the most from the optical system.
The Argus A4 provides height and tilt adjustment, allowing the night vision device to be positioned relative to the user's helmet, eyes, and individual equipment setup.
These adjustments also make it easier to accommodate differences in helmet geometry, shroud placement, eye protection, and night vision systems.
Selectable Breakaway Function
The A4 incorporates a selectable breakaway function that can allow the mount to release from the helmet shroud when subjected to sufficient external force.
This feature is intended to reduce the potential for the helmet and mounted night vision system to become a snag point during certain situations.
Lightweight Construction
The Argus A4 combines aluminum and polymer components to balance structural strength with overall mount weight.
Reducing unnecessary weight at the front of the helmet can be particularly valuable when the mount is paired with a complete night vision system and other helmet-mounted equipment.
Compatibility
The Argus A4 is designed for dovetail-equipped night vision devices and adapters and compatible NVG helmet shrouds.
This can include PVS-14 configurations using an appropriate dovetail J-arm, as well as compatible articulating binocular night vision systems with an integrated dovetail.

What Is ITAR?
The International Traffic in Arms Regulations are administered by the U.S. Department of State's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC).
ITAR governs defense articles, defense services, and related technical data identified on the United States Munitions List, as well as certain exports, temporary imports, reexports, retransfers, and other controlled transactions.
Not every product sold by Quad Defense is necessarily ITAR-controlled. Export classification depends on the specific product, component, technology, technical data, and transaction.
Night Vision & Related Equipment
Night vision products and related equipment may be subject to U.S. export-control restrictions depending on their classification, configuration, technical characteristics, origin, and intended destination or end user.
Some products may fall under ITAR jurisdiction while others may be controlled under the Export Administration Regulations or another regulatory framework.
The absence of an βITARβ label on a product page should not be interpreted as confirmation that the product is unrestricted for international transfer.
Who May Receive Controlled Items?
Export-control rules can restrict who may receive certain products, technical data, or defense services.
ITAR distinguishes between U.S. persons and foreign persons. The applicable regulatory definitions should be used when determining whether a particular transfer or release requires authorization.
Citizenship alone should not be used as the sole test for every export-control determination.

Resale Does Not Remove Export Restrictions
Purchasing a product from Quad Defense and later reselling or transferring it does not eliminate applicable U.S. export-control restrictions.
Customers who resell controlled products are responsible for ensuring that subsequent transfers comply with applicable export-control laws, end-user restrictions, destination restrictions, licensing requirements, and other regulatory obligations.

Great mount. Streamline operation.
Company is a well oiled machine. Had the item I needed in stock and had it shipped out in no time at all. Liked that they also threw in some stickers into the package as well and left a hand written note as well! Great company 10/10 will buy from them again and will be telling everyone Ik to shop here as well!
Nice mount, but arrived damaged. the tension arm lever for the vertical adjustment was snapped off at the top. making it difficult to lock down without cutting into your thumb, possibly damaged during shipping. contacted Quad Defense to include texting some pictures. Quad Defense stated they were working on it.
