Elbit Systems of America Is Now Twenty-Six Defense
Elbit Systems of America Is Now Twenty-Six Defense
Elbit Systems of America has entered a new chapter under the Twenty-Six Defense name. For Quad Defense customers, the most visible change will be the name appearing across our night vision product pages as we transition existing Elbit references to Twenty-Six Defense.
Elbit Systems of America's U.S. operating segment is now Twenty-Six Defense. The organization remains part of Elbit Systems Ltd., while the new Twenty-Six Defense identity reflects its U.S. operations and continued focus on domestic engineering, manufacturing, and support.
From Elbit Systems of America to Twenty-Six Defense
On September 9, 2026, the U.S. operating segment of Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it would operate under a new name: Twenty-Six Defense.
The change represents an evolution of the company's U.S. identity rather than the disappearance of Elbit Systems. Twenty-Six Defense remains wholly owned by Elbit Systems Ltd. and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
According to the company, the name Twenty-Six draws inspiration from iron β element 26 on the periodic table β representing strength, resilience, and durability.
Quad Defense Is Transitioning Our Elbit Product Naming
Quad Defense works directly with Elbit on the night vision products and image intensifier tubes we offer, and we are actively working through the branding transition associated with the move to Twenty-Six Defense.
Over the next several weeks, customers will begin seeing Twenty-Six Defense replace Elbit across applicable Quad Defense product pages, technical resources, configuration tools, and other areas of our website.
During that transition, you may see both names referenced in different areas of the site. That is intentional while existing product information and terminology are updated.
Elbit
Existing product pages and technical content may continue to reference Elbit while Quad Defense completes the transition.
Twenty-Six Defense
Customers will increasingly see the Twenty-Six Defense name associated with applicable products across Quad Defense.
Same Quad Defense Support
The naming transition does not change the support, configuration guidance, or product expertise customers receive from Quad Defense.
What About Elbit Night Vision Tubes?
For the night vision community, one of the biggest questions will be what the Twenty-Six Defense rebrand means for products historically associated with the Elbit Systems of America name.
From the Quad Defense customer's perspective, this should primarily be understood as a branding and naming transition. As we receive updated product information and branding, Quad Defense will update applicable listings to reflect the Twenty-Six Defense identity.
This means a customer familiar with terms such as Elbit night vision tubes, Elbit Gen 3 white phosphor tubes, or Elbit image intensifier tubes may begin seeing Twenty-Six Defense terminology instead.
We will maintain clear references during the transition so customers researching existing Elbit products can understand the relationship between the previous and new names.
Why You May See Twenty-Six Defense in the Dark Room
Quad Defense's Dark Room allows customers to configure a night vision system around their preferred housing, optics, and image intensifier tubes.
As our naming transition progresses, customers who previously expected to see Elbit as a tube option may instead see Twenty-Six Defense.
If you arrived at this article from the Dark Room because you were looking for an Elbit tube option, this rebrand is the reason for the naming change.
